This is how supportive my husband is: all of the holiday gifts he gave me related to one of my four blog themes. For realz. And, yes, ladies, he is taken.
I’m sure I’ll forget something, but here is a short run-down of the awesome gifts he gave me to prep for my year-long challenge (although, some won’t necessarily carry me beyond today, it’s the thought that counts, right):
Holiday loot (my daughter made the card and bookmark)
Creativity: Color pencils, Just Kids (Patti Smith’s National Book Award memoir!!!!)
Body: A gift card for 30 days unlimited yoga classes (again with the !!!!)
Spirit: Richard Dawkins’s The God Delusion (which I have so wanted to read), a gift card to Ear-X-Tacy for the new Decemberists CD, The King Is Dead (due Jan. 18 with lots of squeals coming from my house), and chocolate from my favorite place, Dundee Candy Shop
Mind: A crazy hard little book of crossword puzzles
My mother-figure gave me my very own lady’s tool box (all in pink), so I always know where to find my tools.
