Amy,
Keep going.Breathe.Keep going.”setbacks” are normal, they are just spaces for breathing and readjusting to change.I am very proud of you and inspired too.
I want to share this inspiring website with you too. I am not suggesting you add taking a hiking class to your already great to-do challenge list, but explore the site a bit. There is so much useful relevant and inspirational stuff there.
Things are starting to shift a bit for me (finally) and I am trying to “get started” myself. So far yoga and going to the beach regulary has at least helped as coping, but I really need to shift to actually “make progress”. so i am now finally ready. Im starting a mountain scrambling course with the mountaineers next week. Ive done a lot of hiking and a few mountain climbs and backpacking, but made the mistake of relying on others too often, especially thinking a mountaineer guy/boyfriend was the answer to getting out there.so wrong.what a huge mess that got me into.still trying to recover.Being vulnerable in the wilderness with someone you cant trust is very frightening.
anyway, I want you to know that Im behind you as you go through your challenges.I know I am far away geographically, but Im always here and not far emotionally.I hope we can be mutually supportive of our journeys and share what we learn.I may try to get a blog or such going, but not sure at this early stage how to manifest everything….
love you,
Beth
