Retraction

Okay, so I’ve done it now.  I worried (not sure offended is the right word) a friend, reader, and my handyman’s lovely lady by describing him as AWOL.  For this, I profoundly apologize.  He, in fact, has not been AWOL.  I exaggerated.  Writers do this from time to time.  Truth is, I can’t remember where we left things, but things have been left and I haven’t called him to reschedule.  It’s MY fault, not his.  I take full responsibility and regret any besmirching of his reputation.

As a gesture of apology, I dedicate the following piece to both my handyman and his lovely lady.  Although I joke around a lot, I do humbly apologize.
