For me, spirituality is loosely defined. I am not a theist, nor do I belong to a congregation of any kind. This is something I’ve struggled with over the course of my life and as a mother, it worries me. I intend to do some spiritual exploration in a traditional sense, but also try to come to terms with what it is I do(n’t) believe.
- Attend a Unitarian Church for 30 days (or once a week for four weeks).
- Meet with meditation guru over the course of a month.
- Read Richard Dawkins and meet with at least one Dawkins’ enthusiast AND contact the Society for Humanistic Judaism for advice (this may entail a road trip).
I would highly recommend Thomas Jefferson Unitarian. Very heady folks out there. They certainly weave alot of different theologies into their services . AND, they have a great positive sexuality class for youngsters!
I remember you recommending it to us in the past, J-o. A friend of mine is a minister at First Unitarian, so I’m torn which one to attend. Maybe I’ll split my time between the two. Thanks for following.
