As someone who struggles with ADD and the multi-tasking involved with being a parent, grad student, and sometimes professor, I realize that setting goals is important. More important than setting goals is finding ways to stay on task and be accountable to myself and others. This blog is intended to be my accountability tool for the coming year. I will divide my New Year’s resolutions into 12 goals, 1 per month. Each goal will fall into 1 of 4 categories: mind, body, spirit, and creativity. Ultimately, I hope this blog will help me organize, accomplish and be a better mom, student, teacher and person.
No pressure.
Let the blogging begin on January 1, 2011.
Loving your blog! I often think I had ADD as well — if not that, well, something! I would love to do so much of what you are taking on …. first week of the new year and no yoga or hardly any physical activity for me … which is odd since I’m working on a KET project with Laura Crawford and her documentary which is all about physical activity!! Def. need a non-right-side-of the brain creative outlet. plus I’ve been meaning to start a blog …
all of that and I’ve only read half your resolutions.
Would also love to talk to you about your study in Tuscany — I’m leaving for India in a few weeks for a little more than 2 weeks and feeling mommy guilt so strong don’t know if I can manage it.
Whew! I had a lot to say. Hope we can catch up some time in person. KET deadlines are breathing down heavy and hard and I leave for India on Jan. 23. maybe I should try to go to one of your yoga classes!
